Friday, December 14, 2007 - At 0859 hours on Friday morning, Squad 18 was turned out for a male hurt at a construction site located at 113 Bank street, just 8 blocks from the firehouse. Upon arrival Squad 18 found that a concrete floor collapsed underneath a construction worker who had been pushing a job box, sending the worker and the box into the basement. With no way to easily carry the injured worker out, a 4:1 mechanical advantage system was hooked to a high-point to hoist the worker out of the basement.
